A few years ago I was writing a title for a British publishing house while I examined quite a few early muzzle loading military rifles in state owned and private museums. The original of this powder measure was found in the patchbox of an Austrian Model 1769 Jägerstutzen, flintlock military rifle. The clever little tool was something I knew I have to copy, so now we have the exact replica for sale on stock. The measure is adjustable and it holds 85-90 grains of powder depending on the powder type. It is a beautiful and authentic accessory for all flintlock and percussion military and civilian arms. All made inhouse by Capandball.
