Made for hunting: muzzleloading rolling block from Pedersoli
The rolling block mechanism was made by the Remington from the mid-1860s into the early 20th century. The construction of the whole rifle was extremely strong and could easily withstand the increased pressure of the new smokeless powders coming into use by the late 1880s. Due it’s reliability and strong mechanism it was very popular among the big game hunters in America and Scandinavia.
The Pedersoli made the muzzle loading version of this beauty specifically for unting purposes.
The barrel is made from high carbon steel, the fast twist is obtained by broaching; drilled and tapped to fit the scope mount. The finishing is non-reflecting mat blue. The same color is applied also for the frame and the trigger guard. The fiber optic sights are adjustable for windage and elevation, and the front sight is interchangeable. The stock is made of walnut, equipped with the microfiber butt pad. The fiber ramrod is completed with the brass jag, hold at the barrel by band’s thimbles.
The rifle can be ordered with a pre-mounted Konus Pro M30 1,6-6x 44 scope with illuminated 30/30 reticule. Along with the extremely precise PMG barrel this combination is a perfect choice for blackpowder hunting without any futher modification!
