I have been asked to create a working repro of the original Civil War time cartridge box for combustible envelope cartridges for .44 and .36 cal. percussion revolvers. I had many ideas for this project but I decided to stick with the original style. The cardboard sleeve with the label printed on it hides a pine-wood case for holding 6 paper cartridges prepared for your percussion revolver. The box is durable and absolutely reusable. Will serve you for a long time if you keep it dry. Holds 6 paper cartridges for your selected calibre. A design very close to the original wrapped design. An excellent companion for any re-enactor or target shooter.
