Which is stronger? The Walker or the Colt Army? Blackpowder shooting Magazine Military history 4 Comments 2015. June 25. Some fun again at the range. I have been planning to do some 19th century style penetration tests with percussion revolvers for a long time. Well, here is the result. Walker, Colt Army and 1861 Navy. And a Springfield rifle-mukset at the end. :)

Which has better penetration – round ball or conical?
Why not use in the Walker 60 grains with Conical bullets? That would have given better results.
Won’t fit in the chamber. 50 + conical is the maximum the Uberti can accept.
Nice test.
The Walker cylinder is really scary compared to my 1858 one. By the way, why no 1858 ?
