he M1786 French flintlock musketoon was designed for the light cavalry use, especially for the Hussars (Mousqueton de Cavalerie Légére ou de Hussard Modéle 1786 Systéme 1777). The bore is smooth, caliber is 17.1 mm, 0.4 mm smaller than the M1777 musket calibre. The bore is 70.4 cm long, while the total length is 106.5 cm.
